Hello there, traveller. I plan to use this page to post about my projects and probably just some random snippets of my daily life. As is, I don’t plan to use it exclusively for creative projects but rather as a blog to talk about media I enjoy, share my amateurish artwork, and most likely tell some TTRPG stories.

I go by Yakeron or Grim and am from Germany. English is my second language. I work in a laboratory. While my training was focused on biology, I mostly do chemical work at the moment.

Biology is still a passion of mine. My favourite subjects are zoology, ecology, biotechnology, and parasitism. As a matter of fact, I originally planned to work in parasitology. While that did not work out, it still plays a big role in my worldbuilding process for one of my main projects.

When it comes to media, I enjoy themes of horror and surrealism the most. My favourite artists include Junji Ito and Satoshi Kon, to give an example. Other than that, strong creature designs keep me engaged. Especially if a world has an interesting ecosystem, I will most likely enjoy it. Character-driven narratives make me very happy; I love good characters and will overlook a lot of flaws in a story if I like the people the story is about.

I really enjoy TTRPGs. At the moment, I am mostly playing DnD 5e (2014) and Mörk Borg, but I want to try more systems. At the moment, I am DMing two DnD campaigns and am a player in one. I’m also doing some Mörk Borg one-shots because they are fast to prepare and pretty great to play for a nice evening with friends.

Magic: The Gathering is also something I like a lot. I am not a very good player, but I enjoy some casual games of Commander. My favourite deck is built around Grist, Voracious Larva.
